Harmonic Mitigation by Optimal Allocation of Tuned Passive Filter in Distribution System

The purpose of this work is to determine the appropriate allocation a single tuned passive filter “STPF” in real distribution network at Tala city prevent harmonic distortion caused by nonlinear loads. This design will cover ideal parameter as well best position. based on and multi-objective functions that optimize cost proposed filters, power losses, total “THD,” individual “IHD”. Upper lower limitations for parameters, quality factor, voltage limits are determined using inequality constraints. be done under equality constraint balance. challenge optimization solved two modern algorithms, jellyfish technique “JFOT” arithmetic algorithm “AOA”, which placements filters their parameters selected. IEEE 33-bus radial system an actual part Egyptian used demonstrating results obtained techniques. reveal system’s current reduced less than 519 standards.
